The art of gilding

Known as the most valuable and purest of metals, gold has been considered synonymous with glory and wealth since its discovery 5000 years ago.

Born from a merger of stars, it travelled across the Universe to end its journey on our planet via an asteroid shower.

These works seek to challenge the general idea of gold in order to give it the meaning it deserves: an element that has been the cause of wars, witness to romances and whose value has marked history.

It is these factors that have prompted the artist to use gold leaf as the main material for his works.
