San Domenico

An impressive obelisk built in the 17th century as an offering to the saint himself after the city of Naples survived the plague in 1656.

22-carat gold is used to place a crown on the saint who observes the millenary city. The piece combines two disciplines; photography and gilding, resulting in a print set in a black frame.
